About us

Yothinburana School Robot Club (YB Robot Club) originally called “YB Dream Team” was established in 2009 with the mission of developing engineering and programming skills in students by using robots as a medium for learning. This type of learning is also known as "Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics" (STEM). The students will also learn how to work in teams and bond with their peers through projects and competing in competitions in the future.

Since its establishment in 2009, YB Robot Club was the first robot club in the English Program Department and has grown a lot since then. With the aim of developing student’s engineering skills through robotics and training them for competitions, we have trained many students who are interested in robotics ever since. With that in mind, we have a great variety of robotics learning mediums including EV3 mindstorm kits, arduino and Microbits as such, all of these is to ensure that the students are prepared for competitions and will be able to maximise their potential.

Today, many of our students have been able to compete in robot competitions ranging from regional division all the way to international division and we are still constantly seeking young minds who are interested in robotics.

Goals

  1. To develop various skills in students these, include: robot programming skill, basic engineering skills, teamwork, research, creativity, practical problem-solving skills. Finally, the club aims to inspire the students with ideas and innovations that they can apply in the future.

  2. To prepare the students for privately-hosted robot competitions in various divisions both locally and internationally.
